The FDNY Alpine Club is made up of active and retired members of the Fire Department of New York who enjoy climbing, hiking, and other mountain activities. We get outdoors together, share skills, and help members safely enjoy the mountains year-round.
What We Do
- Plan alpine climbing, hiking, mountaineering, and skiing trips in the Northeast and other regions
- Run training days covering ropework, navigation, avalanche safety, and other mountain skills
- Share resources and discounts from guiding services, gyms, and gear suppliers
- Host meetups, group trips, and casual skills exchanges
Who Can Join?
Membership is open to active and retired FDNY firefighters, EMS members, and other city agency personnel with an interest in the outdoors. All skill levels are welcome.
